Welcome to SleepyKidRanch - specializing in Nigerian Dwarf Dairy Goats! We are located in Peralta, New Mexico and have been working with goats since 2004. Our animals are well-loved, tame, and extremely affectionate. We milk, make our own ice cream, and have begun the cheese-making adventure.

Our caprine friends are purebred Nigerian Dwarf goats, registered with the American Goat Society.

Babies

Goat Parts Game

As part of a 4-H computer project, our daughter created a Goat Parts web page. Since Dairy Goat judges invariably ask about the parts of a goat during a Dairy Goat Show, she thought this would help others in the Dairy Goat project, as well as help her learn about web design.

Babies are an exciting part of life at Sleepy Kid Ranch. They are so playful, lovable - and "springy"!!!.

Our babies are handled from the very beginning. They get lots of attention, plenty of lap time, and, of course, lots of love.

Our herd began with 3 doelings from Shamada in Alto, NM. Our pedigrees include such notable breeders as Woodhaven Farms, Green Gate, Willow Creek, Inavale, Piddlin Acres, Twin Creeks and Velvet Acres.

Bucks

Here is our herd sire, El Cerro Captain Pellew, getting ready for a show. He is also the sire of our other buck - SleepyKidRanch Jalapeño.

Wethers

Our wethers are pet-quality, lovable, and gentle. (Most listed on this page are our pets, and are not for sale, but you can check our For Sale page if you are interested in purchasing a wether.
